PWI are improving their country meeting regularity with increased effort by country committee members and associated meeting sponsors. It is a great encouragement to us when these country meetings are well attended by existing and new members as we strive to spread the PWI knowledge across the state.
The RTSA and PWI have released details on a combined Study Tour of Railway Engineering (STORE) to be held in the Hunter Valley on the 23rd, 24th and 25th of March.
The STORE will commence on Friday morning with an inspection and guided tour of the new John Holland (CRN) Control Centre followed in the afternoon by a series of technical presentations at the Monte Pio Inn, Maitland including a presentation by Alec MacKenzie, ARTC Executive General Manager Hunter Valley. Presentations will be followed by networking drinks and the conference dinner.
On Saturday, a bus tour with inspections of some of the highlights of the hunter Valley Coal network has been arranged and Sunday there is a fully catered 2 car diesel train trip up the Hunter Valley to Ulan and Gulgong.
An attractive package with all visits, accommodation and the train trip is available for all members of the RTSA and the PWI. Tour packages for Friday only, Friday and Saturday only with or without accommodation are also available together with the optional train trip.
Partners are also most welcome to enjoy the delights of the Hunter Valley.
